The Music minor is designed for non-music major students who highly value their involvement in music activities and would like formal recognition of their study in areas of performance, musicianship, and music electives.

Complete ALL of the following Courses:
  • MUS100
  • MUS201
  • MUS202
  • MUS211
  • MUS212

NOTE: Students must attend 10 concerts/recitals during their time at Concordia. An updated list will be published at the end of each semester detailing concert attendance. In the semester when students expect to pass 10, they should enroll in MUS 100 for pass/fail certification. Attendance credit is not allowed for recitals/concerts in which the student is a performer for the majority of the repertoire.

Complete at least 1 of the following Courses:

  • MUS482
Earn at least 9 credits from the following


MU__ 301 or 401 - Applied Music
MUS 300-400 - Choose any 300 or 400 level MUS course(s) not previously taken in the minor.

Earn at least 4 credits from the following

Applied Music: Primary Instrument

MU__101 - Applied Music: Primary Instrument (0-2 units)
or MU__201 - Applied Music: Primary Instrument (2-4 units)
or MU__301 - Applied Music: Primary Instrument (2-4 units)
or MU__401 - Applied Music: Primary Instrument (2-4 units)
