PB-CRED: CWAA - Child Welfare and Attendance Add On (Credential) (3 units)

In the summer of 2022 the California Teacher Commission (CTC) changed the performance expectations and field hour requirements for School Counseling students seeking their PPS credential. These changes embedded the Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) performance expectations, making students eligible for certification in School Counseling and CWA in a single program. Prior to the summer of 2022, students did not have an option to obtain their CWA. With guidance from the CTC, they are allowing PPS programs to offer a course to their past graduates to complete 150 additional hours and filling in content gap hours.
